Frequently Asked Questions

1.  I know someone who might benefit from Dramatherapy.  How do I go about finding a Dramatherapist for them or a group for them to join?

Why not contact your nearest Roundabout office via email or phone and we can discuss this further with you.  If you are outside the London area then contact The Sesame Institute UK and International or the British Association of Dramatherapists.

2.  How much does it cost for Roundabout to come and run sessions at my centre.

We have a fee sheet which we can send to you.  Prices range from £100 for 1 Dramatherapist for 2 hours to £250 for 2 Dramatherapists for 3 hours.  We also are very successful at fundraising for projects and so don't let the costs put you off.  Please contact us to talk about ways we might be able to raise funds so that a project can take place.

3.  Can I do work experience at Roundabout?

Unfortunately, due to the confidential nature of the Dramatherapy work at Roundabout, we are not able to offer work experience placements.

4.  I would like to talk to someone about Dramatherapy. Can I visit you at Roundabout?

Yes, we often have visitors at our offices and if you phone us or email us with your enquiry, we will do our best to help you.

5.  Does Roundabout have any volunteer opportunities?

Yes, we very occasionally do.  We have had volunteers supporting specific Dramatherapy projects and we occasionally use volunteers in our offices.  Why not phone us or email us if you are interested.

6.  I am going to train as a Dramatherapist. Can I shadow anyone at Roundabout to gain some experience before I train?

We usually cannot accommodate this request because of the confidential nature of our work. However, do email us or phone us anyway to discuss your situation.

7.  Where can I train as a Dramatherapist?

All Dramatherapy training courses now offer training at Masters Level.  In other words, you normally need to have a first degree before you start the Dramatherapy training.  However, different courses will have different degrees of flexibility on this.  You can train at 5 different institutions around the country offering full-time and part-time courses.
